The fearless band of adventurers, this time consisting of Snow, a hired ninja, and, later on, Zagaan and Corlian, were hired by a petty noble to retrieve an item. He described it as "bright and shining helm" from a hole in the ground where his brother had dropped it. They quickly accepted the amount of one thousand gold coins, plus any other loot they found down there. After he led them to the hole, the noble told them that he would give them a week, and then assume that they were dead. With that pleasant thought, he left them to delve into the depths.
Down the hole, they found several descending rooms. But, the horror! In one of the rooms, they found three corpse-like things! Their skin was stretched too thin over old bones, and large fangs gleamed in their mouths. Although this seemed to be an awesome foe, it turned out to be simple. The ninja simply sat on a ledge above the creatures, and shot arrows at them while they futilely tried to jump up and get at him and Snow.
After defeating those foes, they went on killing more undead, and getting treasure, until, at last, they reached another, deeper chamber. This one held a nightmare monster. The size of a bear, it had a gaping maw, dripping blood and saliva. It had large claws, and deep socketed eyes. By this time, both Corlian and Zagaan had joined up with Snow's new character, the dragon, unfortunately, had died. Also, the ninja had to leave. Even so, it was with little fear that the veteran adventurers faced this vampire.
After the relatively quick battle, in which the beast was killed. Or, re-killed, I guess. The three of them went through another door, and found the adventurer's favorite thing, a chest. They eagerly tried to open the chest, and in their eagerness, accidentally set off the trap. This particular trap summoned an elemental worm, which they quickly dispatched.
When they had once more reached the surface, they returned to town, and gave the helm back to the grateful owner.
There you have it, the most recent tale from the band I call friends. A note about the next few adventures. To stop the possible boredom of fantasy quest after fantasy quest, we have decided to play Traveler for a while. Traveler is a Sci-fi RPG set in the far future. I will have the new characters up next time. So, goodbye.

Once More Into The Fray
Greetings, once again, this post is a few days late, if anyone cares, please comment. I have "officialized" the link to Strolen's Citadel, as you can probably see.
On to the main content. We just recently finished a somewhat exciting adventure, and I will tell you about it now.
Snow, Corlian, and a hireling wizard arrived at the small town of Vorwin, intent on aquiring some gold. In the local tavern, the Blue Gnome, they find out that the innkeeper is in need of someone to go collect some rent for him, they quickly agree to the sum of one thousand gold plus ten percent of the next month's rent. They head South, following the directions given by the innkeeper, and eventually reach the land that he owns. There, after some difficulty, they discovered that the rent is late because of a tribe of goblins that recently started demanding tribute. The goblins were due the very next day to come to collect the next tribute. The party decided to stay the night, and then deal with the goblins in the morning.
The next morning, they wake up to find that the goblins are within sight. After a few minutes of waiting, during which they readied weapons and spells, the goblins arrived. There were four goblins mounted on giant spiders the size of horses, and another driving a cart pulled by an even larger spider. The party started in killing before asking any questions, and, after a short, but bloody, battle, they started off to look for the lair of the enemy. When they reached the goblins' cave, they found it nearly deserted, except for a few voices chanting that they heard from the other side of a locked door. But, when Corlian burned down the door, all that was on the other side was a man cowering on the floor. But, as Snow went oover to see what was going on, the man turned out to be a werewolf, and attacked! After they killed it, they went back and claimed their reward.
There is the first "published" adventure of my gaming group, I hoped you liked it. I don't really have any other thoughts, so, until next time, Adieu.

Introductions
Hello, anyone who might be reading this. Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Drackler Wyrmdragon, aspiring writer of fantasy novels. You can probably guess that this is not my real name, that is something that I'll keep to myself. In the same strain of things, when I am relating the tale of my group's latest adventure, I will be using the character names, instead of my friends' real ones. This will allow privacy for them.
I will state from the outset that I do not expect many people to read this, mainly I am writing it for my own enjoyment. That said, I will still try to make it as simple as possible for anyone who wants to to follow along.
So, I will now introduce my group:
Drackler- Me, usually the Dungeon Master
Corlian- An elven wizard. Quite eccentric, and prone to taking body parts from the creatures that they kill.
Snow- A cat-sized white dragon. Likes to charge down on enemies, and overstate his power.
Stone- Another elf, this one a rouge. Not quite above "borrowing" from his fellows.
Zagaan- Yet another elf, a paladin this time. I don't know as much about him.
Endarious- Once again, an elf. This ranger is the last one, I swear! He seems to be a good and honest one, but, well, we'll see.
Now you've met the group. I must admit I've only played with Corlian and Snow, so far. But I should be seeing the other three in just a few days.
I am assuming that anyone reading this will have at least some knowledge of rpg terms, and workings. Our group currently plays a mix of Dungeons and Dragons 3rd edition, and D&D 3.5.
Others who play rpgs might find the accounts of our adventures a little lacking in the area of actual role playing. But, do not judge us by that, we are actually quite new to the whole thing, but we are working on it.
I have yet to have a finished adventure to give you, but that will soon change. Until then, I will get a few things out of the way, and then start spouting about other things.
First, I plan to update this blog about once a week, more often if I feel like it. Secondly, I will, every so often, have links to other sites. These will mostly be gaming websites. I will begin that now:
http://www.strolen.com
Strolen's Citadel is an online role playing community, where you can post your ideas, read others', and even engage in some forum-based role plays. If you type in "Drackler" in the search bar, then you can view my profile, and work.
Now, on to my thoughts and projects. Currently, I'm working on creating a rpg of my own. It's nothing special, probably wouldn't sell in a real market. Really, the only reason I'm making it is to have a different setting, and a different rule set. Also, I'm making a campaign setting for D&D. Once again, it probably would not wanted by anyone other than myself, but I enjoy creating fantasy worlds.
